Afton, TN, January 25, 2012 – Delfasco, LLC announced today that they have been awarded a $4.7MM contract by the U.S. Army for the ongoing supply of MK-84 Conical Fin Assemblies. MK-84 is a class of fin assembly designed for 2,000 lb. general purpose bombs. They can also be used for BLU-117 bombs. Delfasco will manufacture all MK-84 fin assemblies ordered under the contract in the company's Afton, Tennessee plant.

The contract was awarded through the United States Army Contracting Command Rock Island Contracting Center. It has a 1-year base contract with 4 option periods extending through a 4-year ordering period.
Delfasco is the only supplier fully tooled to produce the MK-84 conical fin and was instrumental in getting powder coating for this fin approved by the US Navy.
